Michelle Britton - the last 40 years

Occupation/s? Tell us what you have been doing
I have worked for Centrelink for 27 years, now I am a casual motel housekeeper. Much less stress.
What would you tell your 1977 self if you could send them a message now?
Don't sweat over the small stuff, love yourself for who you are and don't try to change to fit in with the crowd.
What would you like to share about the last 40 years?
I left Ulverstone in 1975 when my family moved to Queensland. I married in 1980 to an American Soldier and moved to Hawaii and California (a childhood dream). I have one son and two adorable grandchildren. Two marriages later I am now living in rural Victoria with a wonderful partner and absolutely love where I live. i think it is because it reminds me so much of Tassie.
What are you proudest of about your life? What have been your greatest achievements?
My son and my grandsons. At almost 56 I am proud of all the things I have done in my life to this point. I am caring, honest, friendly and a good person who loves life. I have a beautiful family and some wonderful friends and that is what is important in my life now.
Any regrets?
None, life is a learning experience
