Occupation/s? Tell us what you have been doing
Mine Surveyor, Software Support, Resource Analyst
What would you like to share about the last 40 years?
Don College then Devonport Tech for a year each then down the West Coast mines. A year or two at Savage River as a survey assistant then Rosebery for around a decade where I qualified as a mine surveyor. Spent another 6 years living back in Ulverstone and working at Hellyer mine near Waratah as a surveyor. I remember Paul Scarfe spent some time there as well at this time. Moved up to Brisbane with a mining software company briefly then started with the Lotteries, first as Golden Casket and now Tatts in Brisbane. I look after the reporting and rostering in our 40 seat contact centre which has it's challenges.
Married Terri from the Huon area around 33 years ago. Her dad worked and socialised with Brent Gaffney in the National Parks service in the brief period before he died. We had two boys, 28 and 30 now off making their way in the world. That means we can spend some time traveling and have done a couple of trips to the UK and NZ and have a few more planned.
What are you proudest of about your life? What have been your greatest achievements?
Raising two boys to become the fine adults they have become with Terri.
