What would you tell your 1977 self if you could send them a message now?
Don't believe everything taught in history, be true to yourself, enjoy the simple things in life.
What would you like to share about the last 40 years?
1st marriage lasted 23 yrs, had 4 beautiful children: Jeni (married with 3 kids), Megan (lived 16 & half hrs), Phillip (lived 17 days), Adam (killed car accident NSW 2011, age 22). Feel very blessed to have met them all, no matter how briefly. 2nd marriage has so far been 7 yrs, been together 14 yrs. Have 4 stepchildren. Between us, we have 11 grandchildren. Left Tas after diagnosed with malignant melanoma, all good now. Lived Melbourne 10 yrs, Leitchville since then. Hated maths yet work as Bank Teller lol.
What are you proudest of about your life? What have been your greatest achievements?
Am so proud of my children and grandchildren. Watching them grow is fantastic. Greatest achievement is having survived all life has thrown at me, as a child and as an adult, and not stopping the world to get off (though it had crossed my mind a time or two). Also proud to be there when Patsy and Peter Tayler's daughter Anjuli was born, and being able to stand beside them when they lost their daughter Ruth (giving her a kiss goodbye). I'm proud of myself for enjoying the simple things in life, like nature's colours, children's giggles, and still learning new things.
Any regrets?
That I didn't find out about Patsy Tayler's passing until two weeks after her funeral, cause my parents didn't want me to cancel relocating to Melbourne! Was so angry with them. I would have been there for Peter, Matthew and my God-daughter Anjuli.
